Favourite YouTube Channels

In this blog I have listed some of my favourite YouTuber’s from categories which include Make Up, Fashion, Lifestyle and Travel.

My all-time favourite YouTuber out of all of the channels below is Imogen Hudson, also known as Imogenation which is her channel name. This channel is my favourite as I love how it includes a variety of content from clothing hauls, makeup looks, story times, vlogs from her travels/events and more. Imogen has probably also had an influence on me to start my blog as I love how honest and open she is and she often talks about others asking her about starting their own YouTube channels etc which has helped. She always says in her videos, if you want to do something then just go for it and you shouldn’t care about anyone else’s opinions towards it as they don’t matter – this advice helped me when starting my blog and is also fab piece of advice to live by!!

Jeffree Star and Holly Boon are great YouTube channels to go to for make-up reviews as their opinions are 100% honest, so if you want to buy a product but aren’t yet sure,  definitely check if either of these have reviewed it beforehand for a truthful and straightforward review!

The three travel YouTube channels I have mentioned are all great in their own way,  and include different content from tips and hacks to travelling, recommended destinations, suggested things to do in the locations, where to eat and more!

Does anyone else regularly watch any of these YouTuber’s? If  anyone has any suggestions for any similar YouTubers let me know as I’d love look into their channels!

City Break – Berlin

As it’s summer, I’m reminiscing on my holidays from last summer.                               Last August I travelled to Berlin with my boyfriend on a city break, so this post will be an overview of what we did in Berlin, where we stayed and where we ate!

Getting To Berlin

When we arrived at Berlin Schoenefeld Airport, we bought the Berlin Welcome Cards from the Berlin Tourist Info Centre which were €35.50for 7 days and use of zones ABC on the underground. The Berlin Welcome Card was really useful as it also came with a map of Berlin, a map of the Berlin underground and a book which had information on all the different attractions, landmarks, museums, eateries and discounts inside!

Where We Stayed

Our hotel was about a 2 minute walk from the Spittelmarkt underground which was handy. We stayed in the TITANIC Comfort Hotel Berlin Mitte which was a nice hotel, it had everything we needed and breakfast was included.  http://www.titanic.com.tr/titaniccomfortmitte/default-en.html

What We Did

On day one of Berlin we went to Brandenburg Gate in the morning. In the afternoon we went to The Fernsehturm (Berlin TV Tower), I can’t remember how much this was as it doesn’t say on the ticket but we got 25% off the price with our Berlin Welcome Cards.

We went to Berlin Zoo on the second day, this is definitely the best zoo I have ever been to as the animals seem so much closer to you and more open than most other zoos I have been to. There was also a petting area where you could feed and stroke the goats which was the highlight of day for me! We also got to see the Panda’swhich we loved! The tickets were  €17.20 each, I’m not sure if we got discount on the original price with the welcome card or if this was the original price anyway.

Walking around Berlin we came across a car pop up store which included Mercedes, Bentley’s, Lamborghini’s and others which was free entry and had other activities to do inside so this was an interesting event which we came across. Finally, we went shopping around the Berlin Mall, Alexanderplatz and other little places in between!

Where We Ate

We didn’t really eat anything different in Berlin. On the first night we had a takeaway Pizza Hut from The Berlin Mall. The next day we got a pizza from Ditsch bakery which was located in one of the Underground stations. That evening we went to Hard Rock Café Berlin, there was a discount voucher for a free drink/dessert inside the welcome card booklet but we completely forgot about.. because who would intentionally miss out on a free dessert?

On the last day we went to Dunkin Donuts which was inside Alexanderplatz station, I was amazed as I only thought these were a thing in America.. how wrong was I! As we went to The Berlin Mall most days during our city break, I kept seeing this ice cream stand which looked incredible so on the last day we got Mango Sorbets from here which were very nice!

Overall Thoughts

I absolutely loved Berlin and I hope to go back one day as there’s so much more to see.     I loved the underground stations in Berlin as they were so useful, bakeries, shops, gift shops, stalls etc filled each underground which gave you even more to do whilst there and was so handy to get a snack or drink on the go! Berlin is definitely one of my favourite cities to visit.

Has anyone else visited Berlin and have other recommendations of different activities to do or different things to see?

Some Of My Favourite Go To Beauty Products

Screen Shot 2018-06-04 at 1.19.16 pm.png

In this post, we’ll cover some of my favourite go to beauty products/essentials. Everything I have included is 100ml or under so they’re a perfect fit for taking along with you in hand luggage if you’re travelling light.

  1. Mac Prep+Prime Fix+ (shimmer) PinkliteThis product is fab for giving you an effortless glow whilst also being hydrating on your skin and keeping your makeup in place.
  2. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation – Shade VanillaThis Bourjois foundation is perfect to take on holiday as it’s a lightweight, medium coverage foundation that is easy to apply. You can build this foundation up for more coverage and it doesn’t look cakey on the face and thankfully it doesn’t cling to any of the skins dry patches.
  3. NYX Buttergloss – Shade TiramisuI love to use this NYX Buttergloss over my Mac lipstick as it gives a nice gloss over the top or on its own as it has a nice subtle pink tone as well as being glossy.
  4. Liz Earle Cleanse + Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser If you haven’t tried Liz Earle products, then you need to! Liz Earle Cleanse + Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is my favourite cleanser ever as it leaves your skin feeling so fresh, clean and smooth. Even better that Liz Earle products are available in travel size!
  5. RCMA No Colour PowderI have tried tonnes of translucent/ no colour powders and RCMA’s No Colour Powder has been my absolute favourite so far. It’s perfect for setting makeup or to baking and has no flashback.
  6. Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette  This is one of my favourite go to eyeshadow palettes as it has all the colours needed to create either a natural or dramatic eye look. The palette is perfect for travelling as it’s a convenient size that’s easy to pack.
  7. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – Shade 0-Extra FairOut of all of the concealers I have tried, Collection’s Lasting Perfection Concealer is my favourite as it brightens and conceals my skin perfectly.
  8. Mac Matte Lipstick – Shade MehrMac Mehr is my favourite lipstick shade as it’s a natural pinky colour which works well with a full face of makeup or as a natural look.
  9. Bare Minerals Ready Blush  – Shade The AphrodisiacBare Minerals Ready Blush is my favourite blush product I’ve ever used as it gives a natural colour rather than the bright pink shades of blusher. The packaging is also useful for on the go as there is a mirror in the lid.
  10. Nip+Fab Liquid Highlighter in Rose GoldI LOVE liquid highlighter; you can never use too much! This highlighter is fab as a little goes a long way to give you a glow.
  11. Laura Mercier Foundation PrimerLaura Mercier Foundation Primer is one of my favourite primers as it does its job perfectly. It’s light on the skin and helps make-up to last longer.
  12. Anastasia Beverley Hills Dipbrow – Shade Medium BrownMy favourite brow product is without a doubt Anastasia Beverley Hills Dipbrow; I’d be lost without it. It’s the best dipbrow and overall brow product I’ve used and I wouldn’t use anything else. It’s also a good size to travel with due to its convenient size.
  13. Nivea Soft Moisturising CreamNivea Soft Moisturising Cream is my go-to moisturiser as it leaves my skin feeling so smooth and hydrated. I love how this product is available in a travel size too as its very  useful.
  14. Dirty Works Slanted Tweezers  If I’m going away, I take my tweezers along with me as unfortunately my eyebrows grow out very quickly!
  • Are any of these products anyone elses go-to’s?
  • If you use any products which are similar to these or just as good, let me know as I’d love to try out new proudcts.

Top 5 Places I’d Love To Explore!

Tokyo

Tokyo is a place that fascinates me as it seems a world away from anything here in the UK. Shibuya Center-Gai seems like the perfect place to explore their offerings of shops which is something I’d love to do whilst in Tokyo. Another part of Tokyo which interests me is OK Yokocho which is an alleyway full of small bars and restaurants which comes alive at night.

Iceland

Iceland is probably holds the #1 spot on my travel bucket list. I’d love nothing more than to see the Northern Lights in Iceland, it’s a must. I’d also love to experience the Blue Lagoon as it’s a rare opportunity.

Cuba

Havana looks like an absolute dream to explore from their streets filled with old American classic cars to Malecón, a 5-mile-long coastal drive which features 1900’s architecture with vibrant colours. Not to forget Havana is the perfect location for Instagram worthy pics!

Krakow

I’d love to visit Krakow as it’s completely different from others on this list, mainly for the fact I would like to go to Krakow to visit Auschwitz as I feel this would be an eye opening and interesting experience that everyone should do. I would also visit the Market Square in Krakow as it is part of the towns history which also has a hi-tech underground museum; Rynek Underground, all about Krakow.

Miami

Miami is a location I’ve always wanted to visit, if I got the chance I would like to visit the famous South Beach as it’s the place most commonly linked with Miami itself. I’d also love to look around The Everglades National Park as I love animals and there is plenty of wildlife to see there from Florida panthers to allogators.

If anyone has visited any of these locations would you recommend any other places to go whilst there?
